Donors to the Library

We appreciate those who donate to our library. It stretches our dollars immensely.  We have listed our donors below:

The Nell J. Redfield FoundatonMay contain: logo, food, and ketchupOver the years, the Nell J. Redfield Foundation has donated thousands of dollars to our library. This year we were able to upgrade our shelving with a $21,000 grant and also order $10,000 in books, eBooks, and Audiobook Bestsellers. The Foundation has helped fund the children's addition, HVAC system, a new roof, a photocopy machine, shelving, and a recurring donation for best-selling books each year. Thank you for making our library better.

The ICFL funds so many programs for our library. Just this past year, they have funded our Ready-Set-Grow Kits for Parents with babies and toddlers. They have also funded $15,000 of  Kindergarten Pre-Kindergarten backpacks.  They have also given us 40 Chromebooks and computer training for our Senior Citizens and Veterans,  This Summer they have funded our Teen Summer Reading Program featuring Videos and Podcasts with $15,000 in funding. The ICFL has donated many thousands of dollars to our library to update our Internet Services. They sent in a team to put in access points all throughout the library and out so that our patrons can access our WiFi Internet Services anywhere inside and outside of the library, including the pavilion at the city park. This service provides equal access to all of our patrons. They have also provided us $24,500 for an online and in-house learning lab with software and computers. Through their youth services, we can distribute free books to our underserved children. Earlier this year, we received $500 for STEM.  Our SORA app for students and IDEA database of Juvenile and Young Adult books is also from the ICFL.

East Idaho- F.M., Anne G., and Beverly B. Bistline Foundation Fund Grant

This year the Bistline has granted us $5000 for our Summer Reading Program, "Art in the Park." The theme is "Color My World," and will involve fun activities involving colors.

The Bistline Foundation generously provides us with funding for our ongoing Summer Reading Program, "Art in the Park." Through their generous grants, the youth can take home all sorts of art supplies to further their creative process. The Bistline Foundation also provided us with a year full of "Grab 'n Go" bags for our kids during the COVID-19 shutdown and curbside. What a fun time they had as our youth grabbed their bags and created at home!

In 2024, the Bistline Foundation granted us $5,000 to continue "Art in the Park." We had a summer of puppetry for summer reading.  The World of Puppetry Museum in Brigham City, Utah, visited Malad each week to present five different puppet shows. We had a "World" of fun!

The Idaho Out-of-School Network has generously granted our library a STEM trailer with full contents for STEM activities to benefit our community. This trailer can be taken to other places to sponsor activities.  It will be at the Fairgrounds this year during the Oneida County Fair.
