Ready, Set, Grow - Newborn Kits

Because of a generous pre-kindergarten grant from the Idaho Commission for Libraries, we have a ready-made Grow Kit for newborns and toddlers.  These kits have developmental activities and information for parents to keep track of growth and development. There are consumables for parents and books and activities for the little ones. You will also learn about the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program in Kit #1, which helps parents read to their children. A best practice is reading to your child daily; this kit gives some wonderful tips and ideas. Please come check out these Ready, Set, Grow kits!  Check out the photos below to see what is available.

Pre-Kindergarten Back Packs

Through a generous grant from the Idaho Commission for Libraries comes Pre-Kindergarten Backpacks! These backpacks are full of activities and books designed to help our small patrons get the skills they need to enter kindergarten. The Elementary Kindergarten Teachers worked with the library to ensure each kit was geared to Pre-Kindergarten Skills. Check one out and find all the goodies for parents and kids alike!  Check out the video on our Niche Academy to learn all about our kits!

Books by Books Beginning

Welcome to a new program funded by the Idaho Commission for the Library through a generous $10,000 grant.  These are book bags grouped by age to help your child "step into reading." We will have book logs for them to fill out so they can keep track of their house and hopefully have many hours of reading before they start Kindergarten. Please come in and "Check Out" this resource at the library!

STEM Center

We have STEM Play Centers and a lot of STEM Activities in the library for in house play and learning.
